Representative Briscoe Cain’s Campaign Completes First Canvass of HD128
2018 Support Far Exceeding 2016 Numbers
(Baytown, TX) On Friday, December 8, Rep. Briscoe Cain’s Campaign announced it had completed a first round of canvassing District 128, knocking on doors of thousands of Republican primary voters since the regular legislative session. Supporters of Rep. Cain have outnumbered opponents 15:1, with many voters who previously supported his opponent electing to support the Freshman lawmaker in his re-election to the Texas House.
“When I campaigned two years ago, I knocked on thousands of doors across our community and had the opportunity to listen to the concerns of citizens that wanted more conservative representation in Austin,” stated Cain. “After being recognized as the most conservative legislator in the Texas House, I have been humbled by the amount of new support we have received as we have knocked on voters doors across HD128.”
The campaign has now begun its second canvass of the district and expanding its reach as the March 6 primary election approaches.
“Speaking with constituents is my favorite part of campaigning and being a State Representative,” added Cain. “I’m proud of the support we have received.”
Briscoe Cain is the State Representative for House District 128 in Southeast Harris County. He is a founding member of the Texas Freedom Caucus and rated the #1 most conservative legislator in the Texas House of Representatives by a Rice University study. He resides with his wife Bergundi and their three children in Deer Park.
