Border Security
Washington D.C. refuses to secure our border, so Texas is taking action! As your State Representative, I’ve allocated $5.1 billion to fortify our southern border and address illegal immigration. I joint-authored a bill to allocate $1.5 billion for the border wall.
Additionally, I co-authored a law establishing a new state crime for unauthorized entry into Texas from a foreign country. This legislation grants local and state law enforcement the authority to deport individuals who enter our country unlawfully. I’ve also supported laws recognizing Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
Property Taxes
As your State Representative, I helped pass over $18 billion in property tax relief that brings down school district property taxes. I have filed legislation that would put Texas on a path to eliminate property taxes, and I have voted for legislation that increased the Homestead Exemption to $100,000.
I will continue to work on lowering and eliminating property taxes, ensuring no Texan is priced out of their home because of taxes or preventing a Texan from ever truly owning their home.
Sanctity of Life
I’m an unapologetic supporter of the Right to Life movement with a record to prove it. We must respect and protect life from conception to natural death. As a pro-life advocate with a record of defending the unborn I will lead the fight to fully end the abortion industry in Texas. That means the total defunding of Planned Parenthood and its affiliates.
As your State Representative, I have consistently supported pro-life legislation – including authoring the Texas Heartbeat Bill; legislation that prohibits an abortion after a heartbeat is detected. I also co-authored the Texas “Trigger Law,” legislation that banned abortion in Texas when the U.S. Supreme Court issued its judgment in Dobbs v. Jackson, the case that overturned Roe v. Wade and allowed states to set their own laws about abortion.
I have also sent cease-and-desist letters to every abortion fund in Texas, reminding them that Texas law imposes felony criminal liability on any person who ‘furnishes the means for procuring an abortion knowing the purpose intended.’
Second Amendment
I support the 2nd Amendment and believe in upholding the U.S. Constitution. As your State Representative, I’ve voted to allow carrying firearms at places of worship, reduce License to Carry fees, and back Constitutional Carry laws. I’ve also authored and filed a bill to ban “red flag laws” in Texas, ensuring the protection of Texans’ Second Amendment right.
Faith & Family Values
The guarantee of religious liberty should be reestablished wherein all individuals (including pastors, teachers and government employees) are completely free at all times to freely express their religious beliefs and practices. I have lead the fight in Austin to ensure that traditional Christian values are restored and strengthened. I am fully committed to making sure Texas families stay strong and autonomous.
I believe the traditional family unit is the backbone of society and that marriage should be only between one man and one woman. I am happily married with five sons. We can strengthen Texas families by returning to principles of personal responsibility and accountability. As your State Representative, I supported the “Chick-fil-A” bill to prevent government discrimination of businesses based on religious beliefs. I’ve also co-authored legislation that protects girls’ athletics by keeping biological boys out of girls’ sports.
